ಕುಡಚಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ನದಿ ದಂಡೆ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತ. ಕುಡಚಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯತವು ಸನ್ 1973 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾಯಿತ್ತು. ಇದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಿಂದ 95 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಲೂಕಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ರಾಯಬಾಗದಿಂದ 20 ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕುಡಚಿ ತಲುಪಲು ರೈಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಬಸ್ಸಿನ ಅನಕೂಲವಿದೆ. ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊಲ್ಹಾಪೂರ ಇವು ಕುಡಚಿಗೆ ಇರುವ ಅತಿ ಸಮೀಪ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಗಳು. ಶೇಖ ಶಿರಾಜುದ್ದೀನ್ ಜುನೇದಿ ರಹಮತುಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲೈ ರವರಿಗೆ ಕುಡಚಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಸನ್ 1370 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುಮಾನವಾಗಿ ದೊರಕಿತು. ಆದರಿಂದ ಇವರ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ "ಗಡ್ಡಾ" ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ 7 ದಿನಗಳ ಉತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸದರೀ ಜಾತ್ರಾ ಉತ್ಸವದಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಮೇತ ಗಡ್ಡಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡಾರ ಹೂಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಜರತ್ ಮಾಸಾಹೇಬಾ ಆಸ್ರಪೆ ದೂಜಾನ ರಹಮತುಲ್ಲಾ ಅಲೈರವರು ಬಲ್ಕ್ ಅಪಘಾನಿಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಕುಡಚಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಹಜರತ್ ಮಾಸಾಹೇಬಾ ದರ್ಗಾ ಇದು ಒಂದು ಭಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಭೂಮಿಯು ಕಪ್ಪು ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಂಜಾಳ, ಹತ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಬ್ಬು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

: Brief About Town Panchayat Kudachi:

Kudachi is a panchayat town on the bank of river Krishna. Town Kudachi Council is established in the year 1973. It is situated at the distance of 20 K.M from taluka Head Quater Raibag and from 95 K.M form District Head Quarter Belgaum southern side. One can reach Kudachi by Rail or Bus. The nearest airport to Kudachi is Belgaum and Kolhapur. Often Kudachi is referred to as a land of Sufi Saints because this town has been bleased by many sufi saint in the past. Shaikh Sirajuddin Junnedi Rahamatulla Alaih to whom the town of Kudachi was granted in inam in the year 1370. In his name a annual festival called 'Gadda' is celebrated for atleast a week. In celebration time the people of Kudachi stay with the family there only. Hazarat Maasaheba Ashrafe Dojahan Rahmatulla Alaih came to Kudachi from Balkh - Afghanistan and settled here. Hazarat Maasaheba's Dargha in Kudachi is a famous tourist destination. The black soil is fertile and to the growth are Maize, Cotton and Sugarcane.
